How to Recover from Google’s Mobile Friendly Update Easily?

Recently Google announced a new Mobile friendly Update. By that Update, Google promises to uproot all that domains that were not mobile friendly. Yeah I know that this News make some bloggers feel bad. Because there is a massive traffic loss to their blogs along with thousands of blogs over the internet. But Why not to face the Challenge given by Google to all of us? I am not Sad by this update from Google, even I am Happy. Because Google has given us an opportunity to do something more with our blog’s. The Blogs which are not Mobile Friendly till this update will now become mobile friendly by their owners and this will create a Mobile friendly Blogosphere 🙂

But the problem is that “How to Recover from the penalty? Because I am loosing a huge traffic.” So let me explain you the answer. The First step in this Blog post is to make you aware about What a Mobile friendly Blog really is?

A Blog which can be loaded on a mobile device is not surely a Mobile friendly blog. There is a complete checklist of a Mobile friendly blog. The checklist is arranged by me, If your blog fulfills the requirements of this checklist then congratulations! Your Blog is previously mobile friendly and you don’t need to make any change.

Checklist for a Mobile Friendly Blog

Fast Loading on a Mobile Device:

Check if your Blog is loading fast on a Mobile device. Loading time on a mobile device also affects your SEO as the same as on a desktop Device.

Easily readable on a Mobile Device:

Make sure that your Blog’s Content can be easily read through a Mobile Device. Choose a Font size that can be easily readable by the reader of your blog. Visit your own blog from different Mobile devices with different screen sizes and do your own research. You can also preview your site as it seems on a mobile device by this tool : Screenfly

Use the Google’s Mobile Friendly Testing Tool:

Its our goodluck that Google have provided us a Simple and free tool to check whether our Blog or Site is being listed as a Mobile Friendly Blog/Site in the search results. You can check for your own blog by using this free tool from Google Here

Easy Navigation – Even on a Mobile Device

Make sure that your blog includes an Easy navigation on a mobile device. Mostly handsets being used today are Touch Screens and user can click on wrong links and get tired of your blog if the Navigation was stuffy and they are not correctly spaced out.

If your blog competes with all those above stated requirements then you can relax on the back of your Seat. Your blog is Mobile friendly, and there is definitely a “Mobile Friendly” Label standing along with your blog, in Google’s Search results. 🙂

Mobile friendliness can also be helpful in Improving the CTR in SERPs of your Blog, Along with Ranking higher in SERP's

But, What if my Blog does not comply with the above checklist?

You’ve touched an important topic. The latest Google update names Mobilegeddon has shaken websites which weren’t mobile-friendly.

I liked the tips you have shared and here is what I am trying to avoid any penalty –

    1. Avoid widgets that aren’t mobile friendly.
    2. Changing the text font and size that would be readable across all devices.
    3. Proper spacing as the mobile devices tend to be smaller in size compared the the desktop.
    4. Fast loading time is necessary. Loading time significantly differs on desktop and mobile devices.
    5. A responsive template or design is all that is needed.
