Today, the EMR-EHR landscape is plagued with numerous challenges which include high costs, roll-out time, data migration, ease of use, connectivity, and functionality. Physicians are burnt out from additional costs and administrative work that do not improve patient care or simplify healthcare navigation. However, Florida-based DataLink Software is transforming the landscape through their extraordinary meaningful use certified EHR experience that streamlines workflows and is cost-effective and compliant around documentation. An experienced client support team¬ is also offered to make the physician and office staff’s lives easier. DataLink Software’s EvokeEHR is a value-based centered solution which has been integrated with their smart Evoke360 platform to showcase clinical, social, referral and benefit elements to ensure the reduction of administrative burden for physicians, assist patients in receiving their best benefits, and drive the best value in healthcare delivery. EvokeEHR offers Merit-Based Incentive Payments System (MIPS) reporting, Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) queues, and is Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) compliant.
DataLink Software was established in 2001 as a software company and designed EvokeEHR with the clinician in mind. There are pre-visit and post-visit settings that staff can utilize to ensure the plan of care is comprehensive, documentation is thorough and compliant, and billing and referrals are easy to manage.
“We understand that physicians are exhausted with all the regulatory and insurer rules, so we developed the Evoke360 platform to aggregate data from care, pharmacy, lab, inpatient, SNFs, quality, and risk adjustment to assist in the next steps in the care journey,” says Brian Singer, Chief Information and Technology Officer of DataLink Software.
EvokeEHR is a bi-directional EHR that communicates and is integrated with the intelligence-driven Evoke360 platform. DataLink Software connects HIEs, EHRs, EDIs, social databases, and other sources across the country to give the physician insight into the necessary steps in the care path—assisting in closing Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) gaps, driving preventative steps for patients, and supplemental benefits that may increase care path adherence by illuminating high-value interventions or available support services.
According to Brian, when EvokeEHR and Evoke360 “talk” with one another, medical assistants, SNFs, primary care physicians, or referral coordinators can see the complete health status of the patient and what may be impeding their care journey. “Within the platform, we show the member’s best pharmacy benefits via our pharmacy module and illuminate the top-performing specialists in the event additional care is needed,” explains Brian. In the pre-visit and post-visit modules, EvokeEHR highlights HEDIS gaps, chronic conditions that have not been completely assessed, or prescriptions that have not been filled. There is also a “linked” scorecard that quickly and easily shows urgent items the clinician needs to discuss with the patient.
To further illuminate the value of EvokeEHR, DataLink Software recently added a few customizations—pre-visit prep screens for quality and clinical prioritization and post-visit elements that ensure clinical documentation improvement (CDI). These pre-visit and post-visit steps improve clinical coding specificity and accuracy by 12% during the first year of utilization and improve chronic care management metrics and HEDIS measurement closure by 17%. DataLink Software’s mobile app and Chrome extension ensure higher adoption rates and impact by showcasing lab, pharmacy, and other physician’s evaluation findings.
DataLink Software’s clients include two of the top five national health plans and to meet client’s needs they are adding more value-based care functionality and performance monitoring into their solutions. “At DataLink Software, we are evolving EvokeEHR and our Evoke360 platforms to continuously integrate new sources of data while pursuing cross-platform integration opportunities,” adds Brian. “Data is only as good as the experience that serves it. Our efforts allow us to consistently improve the provider experience through simpler experiences and EvokeEHR interactions, but more importantly help patients in better care management.”
