With just four months until its launch, the Transport Security Congress (TSC) continues to expand its speaker presence throughout the transport industry in North America and across continents worldwide. Over 50 dedicated speakers will be in Miami this June to provide delegates with the most technical and strategic methods available to the industry to ensure the most secure operations possible and to discuss ways to successfully deal with the modern-day threats that our industry faces on an international scale.
We are delighted to announce that Port of Miami, Virgin Trains US (Brightline) and Miami International Airport will ALL provide dedicated talks to delegates at TSC following the unprecedented site visits performed by the Port.
After an already testing year with the city hosting this year’s Superbowl, Port of Miami’s Jose Aragu provides the congress with an insight into security operations at the world’s largest passenger port. With Miami being such a prime destination for global events and the biggest names on the planet, Jose’s experience in running mass security operations provides TSC delegates with an invaluable learning opportunity.
The latest security measures are constantly at the forefront of the aviation industry and we are proud to partner with Miami International Airport as Port Director Christopher Maston delivers a keynote presentation on effective operations at the US border and emerging technologies to lower security risks. With over 10 years’ experience at US Customs & Border Protection in San Diego, Washington DC and Miami, Christopher is a fantastic addition to the TSC line up.
In addition to the maritime and aviation aspects of the event, rail also plays an important role of TSC as the industry looks to increase security without causing delays to services and passengers. Virgin Trains USA will provide site visits to delegates as well as security workshops that focus on intruder sensor technology and the use of airport-style security within a train station with Robert Gatchell, Chief Safety & Security Officer and Joe Meade, Director of Safety, confirmed to take part.
TSC Miami would not be complete without an international presence and this is certainly the case with the UK Ministry of Defence Senior Cyber Security Advisor Bruce Wynn OBE performing ‘not to be missed’ workshops on the severity of threats from hostile nations and how the industry can prevent drone hacking, crane hacking and other highly effective ways to prevent attacks against transportation. Joining Bruce from London is the Rail Delivery Group Director of Nations Robert Nisbet and Head of Policing & Security Mark Newton who will chair the event and detail security procedures used on the rail network within the United Kingdom.
